Start with a task, solve a problem, or open the complete manual. These instructions describe the current Windows player and never ask you to send licence keys, payment data or provider secrets.

01

Start in three steps

1

Install and choose a language

Use the signed Windows installer when it becomes available. The installer and player support English, Dutch, German and French; English is the default.

2

Open your video or IPTV playlist

Open a local video for file subtitles, or an IPTV/live stream for temporary live captions.

3

Choose captions

Use CC for an embedded, sidecar or OpenSubtitles track. Use AI only when a suitable human subtitle is unavailable or when you explicitly want live captions.

02

Choose what you want to do

Local video and subtitles

Open a file, choose embedded or sidecar subtitles, search OpenSubtitles, correct sync and export a normal loaded subtitle.

Open local-video instructions →

Translate or repair a subtitle

Translate while retaining timing, lock names with the glossary, run quality checks and repair common timing or line-length problems.

Open translation instructions →

IPTV and live captions

Live transcript and live translate apply only to IPTV/live stream playback. Select the input and target language before starting.

Open live instructions →

LAN Watch and Chromecast

LAN Watch is the primary same-network route for another screen. Chromecast remains device-dependent and should be validated on your own hardware.

Open screen instructions →

Player, Demo and Cloud

The limited Demo remains usable. A Player or qualifying Cloud purchase unlocks the same installation automatically; no separate Pro player is installed.

Privacy and safe support

Local media stays local unless you choose a provider-backed action. Before contacting support, collect the app version, exact message and relevant redacted logs.

Fast troubleshooting

No subtitle appears

Check CC, target language, embedded and sidecar tracks, then search OpenSubtitles. Only after that try generation.

Live captions are late or empty

Check that the source is IPTV/live, verify input language and provider status, then stop and restart the live task. Silence, music and unstable streams can create gaps.

Purchase is not visible

Keep the purchase e-mail, reopen Settings > Account and refresh. The same player should switch from Demo to Pro automatically.

Another screen cannot connect

Keep both devices on the same trusted LAN, rescan the QR code and check the Windows firewall prompt. Do not expose LAN Watch directly to the internet.

Still stuck

Restart once, reproduce the smallest safe example, record the exact time and send only redacted diagnostics to support.
